The Incredible Story of Quiet Heroes

Quiet Heroes is a documentary by Jenny Mackenzie and Jare Ruga, focusing on the real work done by Dr. Kristen Ries and Maggie Snyder during the 80’s AIDS crisis in Salt Lake City. So many people in Salt Lake relied on Ries’ and Snyder’s work during this time. I’m happy to say that Quiet Heroes has won an Annual Daytime Emmy for Oustanding Special!

This well-deserved award is just proof of both how important the subject matter is and how talented the film makers are. Tami and I are so proud of University of Utah’s Dr. Kristen Ries and Maggie Snyder Permanent Collection, which we support enthusiastically.
